Crockpot Bratwurst and Sauerkraut

Ingredients: 
  • HHF Original Brat (8 Brats) 
  • 4 cups sauerkraut, drained 
  • 1 onion, sliced 
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced 
  • 1/2 cup apple juice 
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 
  • 1/2 tsp caraway seeds (optional) 

Instructions: 

  • Place sauerkraut, onion, and apple slices in the crockpot. 
  • Stir in apple juice, Dijon mustard, and caraway seeds. 
  • Place bratwurst sausages on top of the mixture. 
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. 
  • Serve brats with sauerkraut and mustard on buns or on the side.
