Ham and Potato Casserole

Ingredients: 

  • HHF 8.75lbs Applewood Smoked Ham 
  • 4 potatoes, thinly sliced 
  • 1 onion, diced 
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 
  • 1 1/2 cups milk 
  • 2 tbsp flour 
  • 2 tbsp butter 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). 
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, cooking for 1 minute. 
  • Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens, 5-7 minutes. Stir in salt, pepper, and 1 1/2 cups of cheese. 
  • In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, ham, and onion. 
  • Pour half of the cheese sauce over the layers. Repeat with remaining ingredients. 
  • Top with remaining cheese and bake for 45-50 minutes until potatoes are tender and golden on top.
